Our services included managing the preparation of the NEPA documents, performing the specialty studies prepared in support of NEPA documentation (such as natural resource surveys, indirect and cumulative impact analyses, community impact analyses, traffic noise assessments, and alternatives analyses), and providing opportunities for public engagement done as part of the NEPA process.
The familiarity of our staff with transportation issues and our understanding of design and constructability issues help us to provide top level evaluation and realistic alternative development. Our reputation is for accomplishing projects in a timely manner while maintaining the transparency and integrity of the evaluation process.
Three Oaks staff has successfully provided all levels of NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act of 1969) and state Environmental Policy Acts (SEPA) documentation for a variety of infrastructure projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We have completed all types of NEPA/SEPA documents:
Categorical Exclusions – done for projects or activities that are typically excluded from a more detailed evaluation due to minimal potential for impacts,
Environmental Assessments - done to determine whether or not the potential impacts for a project would be significant; and
Environmental Impact Statements - done for projects that are presumed to have, or have been determined to have, significant impacts.
